<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the authentication password management device of an electronic settlement account for raising safety in updating the password of the electronic settlement account. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication means 62 authenticates an input person by using a personal identification number input from a PC and a personal identification number stored in a master file, and when the input person is authenticated, a personal identification number update means 63 updates a personal identification number so that the next personal identification number stored in the master file can be obtained as a normal personal identification number, and that a personal identification number to be newly input can be obtained as the next personal identification number.
