<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of suppressing display unevenness of a low gray scale while maintaining characteristics of a thin film transistor in a pixel circuit without requiring a larger-sized signal source driving circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The active matrix display device comprises: a plurality of pixel parts PX arranged in a matrix on a substrate; signal lines DL provided column by column and connected to the respective pixel parts in each column to supply signals corresponding to video signals to the pixel parts; scanning lines S1a for selection, which are provided row by row and connected to the respective pixel parts in each row to supply signals for selecting pixel parts by the rows corresponding to the video signals to the pixel parts; and scanning lines for dimming which are provided row by row and connected to pixel parts of the same light emission colors in each rows to supply control signals controlling light emission periods of display elements of pixel parts by selected rows. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
