<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can correct inclination of an LED head with improved correcting accuracy, and can alleviate a color drift occurring when a plurality of colors are overlayed on each other, as a result of the improved correcting accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has a dot forming means for forming a dot of a gradation value M by selectively forming sub-dots on sub-lines in number corresponding to S*G in a sub-scanning direction equivalent to a recording sheet carrying direction, corresponding to one pixel of gradation data of input n bits. The dot forming means divides the S*G sub-lines into G groups each including the S sub-lines, and forms the sub-dots on the respective S sub-lines in each group by applying energy of values different from each other. Further the dot forming means forms the sub-dots on the mutually corresponding sub-lines in the respective groups, by applying energy of almost the same value, and moves the sub-dots by a group-to-group pitch as a unit when positional correction is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
