PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents reproducing device in which viewing and listening contents of the past is remembered precisely by a user to restart viewing and listening of a continued part smoothly when the interrupted reproduction of contents is restarted. SOLUTION: The device is provided with: an input part 1 which has a function of restating reproduction of interrupted contents and receives an input from the outside; a data input part 2 obtaining contents data or the like from the outside; an output control part 4 generating interruption position information indicating a position at which reproduction of contents is interrupted in accordance with contents reproduction interruption request received by the input part 1; a viewing and listening managing part 5 managing information or the like generated by the output control part 4; and a restart position judging part 6 generating break position information indicating a break of contents in accordance with contents reproduction restart request and reproduction restart position information indicating a position at which reproduction of contents is restarted based on the interruption position information; wherein the output control part 4 restarts reproduction of contents based on the reproduction restart position information, and the output part 3 reproduces and outputs contents by control of the output control part 4.
