PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a resin molded article for use in optics as a light guide plate, a diffusion plate and the like, which are excellent in the flame retardancy, heat resistance and hygroscopic characteristics and which is suppressed in the warping and deformation of a product at high temperature and high humidity. SOLUTION: The resin molded article for use in optics (an optical waveguide, a diffusion plate) are molded from a resin composition which is obtained by blending a resin composition (C) of 5-95 pts.wt of a copolymer (A) which has a weight-average molecular weight in terms of a polystyrene of 100,000 or more and a molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn of 1.8-3.0 and which comprises 1-10 wt.% of a (meth)acrylic alkyl ester-based monomer and 99-90 wt.% of an aromatic vinyl-based monomer and of 95-5 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin (B) [provided that (A)+(B)=100 pts.wt], with 0.1-20 pts.wt of a phosphate-based flame retardant (D).
