<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle use management device capable of surely discriminating whether a user of a vehicle uses contact lenses or not. <P>SOLUTION: A card reading and writing section 11 obtains driving conditional information expressing the vehicle driving condition from an electronic driver's license 2. An eye image obtaining section 12a obtains eye image data by photographing eye images of an applicant for a use of the vehicle, and a face image obtaining section 12b obtains face image data in the periphery of the eyes by photographing at lest a face image in the periphery of the eyes of the applicant for a use of the vehicle. A control section 14 performs a user identification processing comprising a comparing processing for comparing the iris information extracted from the eye image data with the iris information stored in a memory 13, a driving propriety determination processing based on the driving conditional information, and a contact lens discriminating processing for discriminating whether the applicant for a use of the vehicle uses contact lenses or not based on the eye image data. The contact lens discriminating processing is performed by extracting a circular edge from the eye image data and discriminating installation of the contact lenses based on the number and dimension of the extracted circular edge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
