<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode structural body for a solid polymer fuel cell with excellent power generating performance even in a low-humidity condition and a high-humidity condition. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane-electrode structural body is provided with a solid polymer electrolyte film 2 with proton conductivity, a cathode electrode catalyst layer 3 fitted on one of faces of the solid polymer electrolyte film 2, an anode electrode catalyst layer 4 fitted on the other face of the solid polymer electrolyte film 2, and gas diffusion layers 5, 6 each fitted on the face of the solid polymer electrolyte film 2 opposite to each electrode catalyst layer 3, 4. The gas diffusion layer 6 at the anode side has a smaller contact angle with respect to water than that 5 at the cathode side. At least two kinds of different-nature coating layers 11a, 11b and 12a, 12b are formed between the gas diffusion layers 5, 6 and the electrode catalyst layers 3, 4, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
