Disclosed is an image projection device which comprises a first light source outputting visible light and a second light source outputting invisible light, and projects the visible light and invisible light to a screen. The screen contains a material wherein at least one of the reflectance, transmittance and absorptance of visible light is changed when irradiated with invisible light. The image projection device also comprises a modulation unit for modulating the intensities of the visible light and invisible light according to an image signal, and a control unit for controlling the modulation unit.
