PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof device of a wire insertion part capable of improving waterproof performance of a part of a waterproof socket with a wire inserted therein, and easy to insert a wire therein. SOLUTION: In this waterproof device of a wire insertion part composed by fitting waterproof packing 16 made of a rubber-like elastic body to a packing mounting hole 47 of a socket body (mounting object body), and by making a wire 45 penetrate through a wire insertion hole 51 of the packing 16, a plurality of annular outward projections are integrally projected from a peripheral surface of the waterproof packing 16, and formed in the axial direction of the waterproof packing 16 at predetermined intervals. The waterproof packing 16 is fitted to the packing mounting hole 47 in a state where one-side end of the waterproof packing 16 with a closed part 52 formed thereon is locked to a lock part communicating with wire insertion holes 12c2. By tightly fitting the projections to the inside surface of the packing mounting hole 47, the area between the packing mounting hole and the waterproof packing 16 is waterproofed.
