PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display size changeable type display device in which expensive components are not used and a display size of a display object displayed on a surface of a case can be freely changed. SOLUTION: A plurality of mask film plates 12-14 are arranged in parallel in its vertical direction inside a frame body 6 of a display unit. light passages 12x-14x of different sizes and shapes are formed on these mask film plates 12-14. Inside the frame body 6, LEDs 19-21 are arranged in each of divided chambers. A display controlling ECU 23 lights up LEDs 19-21 selectively according to an operation position of a switching knob 25. When a first LED 19 is lit, the light passes a light passage 12x and reaches a projector plate 22 and is displayed on the projector plate 22 as a displayed image according to the size of the light passage 12x, and a third LED 21 is lit, the light passes a light passage 14x and reaches a projector plate 22 and is displayed on the projector plate 22 as a displayed image of the size of a light passage 14x.
