PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which enables thin-walled injection filling in the molding of a molded object having an erected wall part and easily obtains especially a box-shaped foamed molded object of high foaming magnification excellent in lightweight properties, free from voids or cavities as a whole and excellent in rigidity and surface smoothness. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the foamed molded object by injecting a molten mixture 7 composed of a thermoplastic resin and a foaming agent in a mold, the mold having a structure capable of partially sliding in a mold opening direction and a direction other than the mold opening direction is used and, after the molten mixture 7 is injected and charged in the mold within 2 sec in a state that the slide part of the mold is adjusted to a cavity clearance t<SB>0</SB>, a part of the mold is retracted in the mold opening direction and the direction other than the mold opening direction to form a non-foamed layer to the surface of the foamed molded object wherein the thickness of one side is 100μm or above and the sum total of the thicknesses of both sides is t<SB>0</SB>×0.8 mm or below.
