A marker for enabling labelling of a mains electrical switch, or outlet, wherein said switch or outlet comprises a faceplate and an associated mounting box, comprises a body portion 12 comprising a substantially planar frame 16 and first and second locating portions 20, 20' for positioning the marker in first and second orientations relative to said switch, or outlet, in use. The marker further comprises a display portion 14, extending from said body portion for allowing display of information relating to said switch or outlet. The first and second locating portions extend inwardly from said frame to define a generally central aperture 18 therewith such that said central aperture has a widest dimension sufficient for said faceplate to be received through said central aperture, in use, thereby allowing said marker to be installed without disconnecting electrical wiring to said switch or outlet. Each locating portion includes a locating aperture 22, 22' aligned, in use, with both a mounting aperture of said mounting box and a corresponding mounting aperture of said faceplate. The display portion may have a detachable cover. |
