A multi-functional food base, having a viscosity of 2000-20000 cps, comprises (wt.%): (a) high intensity sweetener (0.002-2); (b) viscosifier (0.1-8); (c) water (35-95); (d) bulking agent (2-40); and (e) flavoring agent (0.1-20). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) A low calorie honey having a viscosity of 2000-20000 cps which comprises (wt.%): (A) high intensity sweetener (0.1-2); (B) viscosifier (0.2-6); (C) water (40-95); (D) bulking agent (2-40); (E) honey (0.1-20); and (2) A low calorie rose syrup having a viscosity of 2000-20000 cps which comprises A,B,C,D,E, rose water and rose flavorings (0.1-5). |
