<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device or the like which reduces distortion caused in a fixing belt member when pressing a pressure member against the fixing belt member and prevents the occurrence of wrinkles in a recording material and in which the recording material can be easily detached from the fixing belt member when performing fixing. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing unit 60 comprises: a rotatable fixing belt 61 for fixing a toner image on a sheet P; a pressure roll 62 which forms a nip part N for the sheet P to pass, by press contacting itself with the outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 61; and a pressure pad 63 which presses the fixing belt 61 from the inside of the fixing belt 61 towards the pressure roll 62. The pressure pad 63 has a plane in the surface which presses the fixing belt 61 toward the pressure roll 62 at least in the central part in the direction of the rotation axis of the fixing belt 61, with the plane having an angle from the direction of entry of the sheet P into the nip part N in such a manner that its downstream side in the direction of the entry is inclined towards the side of the pressure roll 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
