<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for highly and efficiently refining silver chloride containing an impurity element into the impurity content of even 1 ppm or less, for instance, while minimizing an amount of an added oxidizing agent, in a process of oxidizing silver chloride in an aqueous acid solution, and making the impurity element dissolve and separated to refine silver chloride. <P>SOLUTION: In the refining process of oxidizing silver chloride containing the impurity element in the aqueous acid solution, and making the impurity element dissolve and separated to refine silver chloride, this refining method includes adjusting an oxidation-reduction potential to 800 to 1,200 mV (silver/silver chloride electrode basis) while adding an oxidizing agent to a slurry obtained by suspending the silver chloride in the aqueous acid solution in atmospheric temperature, when oxidizing the silver chloride. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
