摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical range finder which achieves high-precision ranging even if being under environment of high-intensity background light and minute signal light intensity. SOLUTION: In the optical range finder, input of first, third switching signals to switches 21a, 21b from timing circuit 14 stores charge of light-receiving signal from two light-receiving parts 20a, 20b in each odd-numbered storage part 22a, 22b, while input of second, forth switching signals stores charge of light-receiving signal from two light-receiving parts 20a, 20b in each even-numbered storage part 22a, 22b. Differential operation parts 23a, 23b perform differential operation between signal from odd-numbered storage part 22a, 22b and signal from even-numbered storage part 22a, 22b. Thus any noise component such as background light is removed as appropriate to extract only signal component required for range finding. In doing so, charges of light-receiving signal from two light-receiving parts 20a, 20b are stored in one storage part 22a, 22b to improve precision of the above differential operation by each differential operation parts 23a, 23b.
