<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the cooperation of both lane deviation prevention control and speed control such as follow-up traveling control in such a scene that the both control should operate, and to achieve accurate lane deviation prevention while performing deceleration control under speed control. <P>SOLUTION: Before it is decided that lane deviation may occur, an estimated lateral displacement (absolute value) Xs becomes equal to or above a threshold value Kk for deciding second deviation tendency, and when a second deviation judgement flag F<SB>Kout</SB>is set so as to be ON (step S31), a target inter-vehicle distance L* to be used for follow-up traveling control is increase-corrected (step S32). Thus, it is possible to perform inter-vehicle distance control under follow-up traveling control based on the increase-corrected target inter-vehicle distance L*. As a result, deceleration control is operated at a deceleration which is larger than a value in the case of normal control under the previous follow-up traveling control in which the lane deviation prevention control is operating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
