PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjustment structure which remarkably improves the workability for adjustment and suppresses the variation in the adjusted value due to environmental change after the adjustment. SOLUTION: A scanning optical device includes a screw type adjustment member, and is composed of a holder partially having a female screw for engaging and fixing the screw member, a stepped nut and a spring member, wherein the spring member has three or more contacting points for the holder and the stepped nut through the screw member, and the holder and the stepped nut are given in pressure in separating directions.
