A method and a system for displaying credit of a caller number in a mobile terminal are provided to allow a user to check the name of a service provider that demands a call to a mobile terminal, thereby checking credit of the call. A credit verifying server(105) stores a plurality of phone numbers and the names of service providers corresponding to each phone number, detects the name of a service provider corresponding to an arbitrary phone number when credit verification of the arbitrary phone number is requested, and transmits the credit verification result corresponding to the detection result. When a call origination is detected, an exchange server(103) transmits the phone number of an origination terminal to the credit verifying server(105) to request credit verification, and transmits the credit verification result from the credit verifying server(105) to a reception terminal related to the call origination.
