摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling method for forging and a forging apparatus with which the forming process is simplified by automatically controlling a side-pushing cylinder used in the finish-compressing of an integral type crankshaft arm part, and the reducing of a dimensional unevenness caused by the difference among working individuals and the improving of working efficiency can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the controlling method for forging the integral type crankshaft which finish-compresses the arm parts at both sides of pin part by controlling the side-pushing cylinder; this control method is compressed so that the thickness of the arm part reaches to a targeted thickness, by applying control-process, in which a step 1 for comparing the compressing speed V calculated from the measured values of the thicknesses d, da of both sides of the arm part, and a boundary setting valueα; a step 2 for comparing the differenceβwith the permissible thickness by calculating the thickness differenceΔd of both sides of the arm part on and after the time when the above compressing speed V becomes the setting valueαor lower; a step 3 for working both sides of the side pushing cylinders 14, 14a; and a step 4 for comparing the above thickness of the arm part and the targeted thickness df, are contained.
