PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multi-beam scanning and to reduce the number of signal lines in an ultrasonic observation apparatus provided with an ultrasonic endoscope using an electronic radial scanning system. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic observation apparatus for radially scanning the inside of the body cavity of a subject by N ultrasonic beams (N≥2) comprises: an ultrasonic observation apparatus main body; and the ultrasonic endoscope provided with M pieces of ultrasonic transducers TR1-TR256 arrayed on a circumference for respectively generating ultrasonic waves according to supplied driving signals and outputting reception signals by receiving the ultrasonic waves and M/N pieces of distribution parts C1-01-64 connected to the ultrasonic observation apparatus main body through the plurality of signal lines for respectively supplying the driving signals supplied from the ultrasonic observation apparatus main body to the N pieces of the ultrasonic transducers and outputting the reception signals outputted from the N pieces of the ultrasonic transducers to the ultrasonic observation apparatus main body.
