摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for suppressing image quality deterioration of display images even when in-plane temperature distribution of a liquid crystal display panel is formed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device for displaying images by using the liquid crystal display panel 4 comprises: temperature sensors 16a-16d for detecting temperatures in a plurality of regions A-D of the liquid crystal display panel 4, respectively; a movement detection part 24 for detecting a characteristic quantity of an input image signal; a control CPU 17 for generating a switching control signal by selecting and extracting detected temperature in a prescribed screen region of the liquid crystal display panel 4 on the basis of the characteristic quantity detected from the movement detection part 24; and an emphasis conversion part 22 for finding an emphasis conversion signal compensating optical response characteristics of the liquid crystal display panel by performing emphasis conversion of the input image signal in response to combination of a switching control signal generated by the control CPU 17 and gradation transition before and after one vertical period of the input image signal.
