摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector capable of preventing the lowering of sensitivity by cooling a combustion object by the ice grown in a sensor container even in the use under a low temperature environment. SOLUTION: A hydrogen gas sensor 1 is equipped with an exothermic resistor 2 having a function as a combustion body for combusting the combustible gas (e.g., a hydrogen gas) bonded to its surface by catalytic action, a function as a heating element for heating the combustion body to a temperature of 80-450°C by the Joule heat caused by energization and a function as a detection resistor changed in its resistance value correspond to the temperature rise caused by combustion heat when the combustible gas is catalytically combusted on the surface of the combustion body. The sensor container 4 is constituted of a base 5 and a cap 8, and has a gas introducing port 10 for introducing the open air and housing the exothermic resistor 2 in a state that the exothermic resistor 2 is not allowed to approach another electric part including lead terminals 3a and 3b.
