PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new printer capable of avoiding or decreasing deterioration of image quality caused by generation of banding, and deterioration of printing quality caused by the processing for avoiding or decreasing the deterioration of the image quality, and to provide a printer controlling program, a printer controlling method, a printing data generating device, a printing data generating program, and a printing data generating method. SOLUTION: This printer 100 comprises an image data acquiring section 10 for acquiring image data, a nozzle specifying section 12 for specifying a nozzle relating to generation of banding, a banding avoiding process controlling section 16 that determines that a density region which is continuous to a banding generation line and has the density deemed to be the same as that of the banding generation line is of a process region for processing the avoiding of the banding and generates control information including the information of the process region, and an N-value data processing section 18 for performing N-value processing applied to the image data according to the control information.
