PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counting device and a counting system allowing a shop clerk to easily detach a game medium downflow unit with a passage, through which game media flow down, to clean the unit. SOLUTION: The counting device comprises the game medium downflow unit 300 disposed corresponding to each pachinko machine 2. The game medium downflow unit 300 comprises locking parts 440 and 441 to be detachably locked to the lower side of a counter 104 projecting forward on the lower side of the pachinko machine 2 in a pachinko island 100, in which a plurality of pachinko machines 2 are juxtaposed, and a downflow passage 304 through which pachinko balls flow down.
