摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor power controller for gradually inserting a selection control rod into a reactor core in a timely manner, preventing a sudden change in reactivity from being applied to the reactor core, and avoiding unnecessary automatic stop operation of a reactor. SOLUTION: The reactor power controller includes a selection control rod insertion region determination circuit 10, which calculates a first-stage selection control rod insertion signal 25 to be applied to a control rod driving mechanism 31 based on a change in electricity quantity applied to recirculating pump motors 3A and 3B driving reactor recirculating pumps 2A and 2B when an accident occurs in the recirculating pumps during operation, and also determines whether a dangerous operation region is reached from a change in a flow rate of a coolant and a change in reactor thermal power. It includes a selection control rod insertion signal generation circuit 15 for calculating a second-stage selection control rod insertion signal 30 with a time delay from the first-stage selection control rod insertion signal and applying it to a control rod driver from an output from the selection control rod insertion region determination circuit and a change in a level of furnace water in a reactor pressure vessel when the dangerous operation region is determined to be reached.
