PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic light operation device normally used for traffic light operation, notifying an external device about an emergency situation only when a person carrying an IC card pushes an emergency button in an emergency to reduce erroneous operation by mischief, to improve a reliability degree of the emergency, and to improve cost performance of a facility, by newly installing a reader/writer and the emergency button to a push button box certainly installed in a crossing. SOLUTION: This traffic light operation device 300 has: the emergency button 32 outputting an emergency signal; a lamp 33 lighting when pushing a requirement button 34 or bringing the IC card close to it; the requirement button 34 requiring a blue lighting start of a pedestrian signal lamp; a reader or the reader/writer 100; a control circuit 37 transmitting the emergency situation to an external device not shown in the figure; and a revolving light 36 notifying occurrence of the emergency situation.
