PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data transmitter capable of adding a URI for indicating the location of information on a network to the image of an original in a form capable of accessing the information easily. SOLUTION: The image data transmitter for transmitting image data by facsimile communication comprises: an operation section 9 for receiving the URI for indicating the location of the information on the network; and a control section 1 that converts the information containing the URI received by the operation section 9 to a barcode image and generates the image data, where the converted bar code image is added to an image to be transmitted.
