Low b. pt., liquefied gas, especially combustible cryo-fuels such as liquid hydrogen, liquefied natural gas, are stored in a cryo-vessel with inner (11) and outer (10) vessels, with insulation (12) between them. A pressure relief device (25) is provided in the inner vessel, releasing an opening between the inner vessel and the insulation when a predetermined failure pressure is reached. The device may be a notch or convexity in the wall of the inner vessel, forming a predetermined breaking point, or can be a valve with spring-loaded diaphragm.
