A power mechanism for a golfcart

A powered mechanism is attachable to a range of golf carts of a type for manually pulling or pushing of a frame carrying a golf club bag. The device includes a housing assembly 31, a motor 32, a battery 33, a circuit board 34 and a drive shaft 35. A fixing device 4 is provided for each of a left and right portion of the drive shaft. The fixing device 4 is connected to foot tube 62 of the golf cart. Thus the mechanism converts a traditional golf cart into a powered golf cart. The device may be provided with sliding and angularly adjustable fixings and a carrying handle. The drive shaft is typically attached to two driven wheels. Control features may be provided on a handlebar of the cart.
