A protective cover 1 for a visual display screen 7, for example a flat panel television set such as a plasma screen or liquid crystal display, comprising a sheet of material to cover the screen 7, the sheet having a peripheral portion arranged to be attached to the edge of the screen 7 and a layer 5 provided with an anti-static agent that is positioned so that, in use, it faces the surface of the screen 7. Preferably the cover is arranged so that, in use, the anti-static layer 5 is in contact with the whole surface of the screen 7, thereby allowing an even coating of anti-static agent to be transferred to the surface of the screen. This coating of anti-static agent remains on the screen 7 even when the cover 1 is removed. |
