METHOD FOR OUT-OF-FURNACE STEEL TREATMENT WITH GAS MIXTURE

The invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a method for out-of-furnace steel treatment with gas mixture. A method involves preliminary lancing of liquid metal with gas mixture under the normal pressure and/or in the degassing process with simultaneous lancing with gases, at that liquid metal lancing during out-of-furnace treatment under the normal pressure or in the degassing process is carried out with gas mixture, which consists of nitrogen and argon at the ratio of 1:3 - 1:2 between themselves. The invention provides decreasing of steel satiation with nitrogen, improvement of obtained steel ingot quality.
