A hydraulic chuck for a machine tool is provided to minimize the wear of a claw and to prolong the life span thereof. A hydraulic chuck for a machine tool comprises a cylindrical chuck housing(10), a claw(20), a steel piece-type reinforcement material(30), and a reinforcement material adjustment unit(40). The cylindrical chuck housing includes the structure insertion hole(11) positioned at the center portion of a body and penetrated by a structure, the claw guide groove(12) outwardly penetrated and positioned at the three directions of the structure insertion hole, and the bolt hole(13) positioned at the both sides of the claw guide groove. The claw is moved toward the center portion of the chuck housing and toward the outside of the chuck housing, by combining the claw guide groove with a stepped unit(21). The steel piece-type reinforcement material is installed and inserted between the claw guide groove and the stepped unit. The reinforcement material adjustment unit includes the first bolt(41), the steel ball(42), and the second bolt(43), orderly installed at the inside of the bolt hole.
