<p>A merchandise selling data processing device (1) adds read out electronic tag data to an electronic tag data memory (42) when electronic tag data read out by an electronic tag reader (2) are not memorized in the electronic tag data memory (42). Based on the electronic tag data added to the electronic tag data memory (42), merchandise selling data are acquired and added to a merchandise item buffer (41). When a readout-operation stop of the electronic tag reader is instructed, a readout-operation of the electronic tag reader (2) is stopped. When the total of a transaction is instructed, processing for the total of such a transaction is carried out on a basis of the merchandize selling data memorized in the merchandise item buffer (41) on the assumption that the readout-operation stop of the electronic tag reader (2) is instructed. When the processing for the total of such a transaction is completed, the merchandise selling data memorized in the merchandise item buffer (41) are cleared. After the merchandise selling data are cleared, the readout operation of the electronic tag reader (2) is restarted.</p> |
