The present invention relates to the moving linkage (1) of a variable compression ratio internal combustion engine comprising a crankshaft (60) provided with at least two webs (62A, 62B) the internal lateral faces of which are connected to one another by a crank pin (61) on which a joint (30) is mounted such that it can pivot, said joint comprising an opening (36) in which there is positioned a big end journal (21) which is axially stopped at each of its ends (21A, 21B) by a bearing portion (64A, 64B) of said interior lateral faces. According to the invention, each bearing portion forms a circular projection (64A, 64B) on one of the internal lateral faces of the webs and is designed to bear against just part of one of the ends of the big end journal.
