#CMT# #/CMT# The package has non absorbent plastic sheets (5, 7) to pack slices of capriccio (1). Each sheet has a plastic layer covered by an opaque and continuous metallic layer. A soldering cord (9) has strips which are continuous and parallel with respect to each other, where the cord seals two sheets together. The sheets have four corners (11a-11d) presenting a point (13) at each corner. The sheets are arranged inside a flexible, air tight packet. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for packing a series of thin slices of food product. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for packing fine slice of raw food product presented as a capriccio such as capriccio of meat e.g. beef, fish such as smoked fish, salmon type fatty fish, fruits (all claimed) e.g. pineapple, and vegetables. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The non absorbent sheet permits to avoid sticking of additional food product such as oil, water or brine between the sheets during the package of the capriccio, while facilitating unsticking of the product from the package and ensuring sustenance of decoration. The package therefore permits to set the product in plate of consumer without any manipulation of the slices. The tight sealing increases the conservation duration and favors the conditions of preservation. The soldering cord has strips which are continuous and parallel with respect to each other, thus avoiding any leakage of the product. The point facilitates the opening of the package and homogeneous thickness in the arrangement of the slices favors the defrosting in a rapid and homogeneous manner. The sheets can be separated from one another from their corners to facilitate easy opening of the package.
