<p>Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device wherein an organic thin film composed of one or more layers including at least a light-emitting layer is interposed between a cathode and an anode. Since the light-emitting layer contains at least one compound having a specific fluoranthene structure and at least one fused ring-containing compound having a specific structure, the organic electroluminescent device is able to obtain blue light emission, while having long life and high luminous efficiency.</p>
