A question answering device, method, and program capable of answering an inputted question sentence with high probability. Score calculating means (305) judges the degree of agreement between the set of the style and topic of an inputted question sentence and the set of those of the question sentence of each question-answer pair. A search result presenting means (306) screens the pairs according to the degree of agreement.
