PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new curing agent having a polar group and low viscosity, and to provide a curable composition that can give a cured product having optical transparency, crack resistance, and adhesion. SOLUTION: The curing agent comprises at least one sulfonyl group and at least two SiH groups in one molecule and the viscosity at 23°C is less than 1,000 Pa s. The curable composition comprises the above curing agent; an organic compound having in one molecule at least two carbon-carbon double bonds having reactivity with SiH group; and a hydrosilylating catalyst as essential components.
