A nutrition supply pumping apparatus with secure loading features is provided to obtain a pump that is used together with a pump set having a safety interlock device for deciding safe mounting of the pump. A nutrition supply pump includes a pumping element, a control system, a light source of infrared ray radiant light, a first detector, a light source of luminous energy and a second luminous light detector(111). The pumping element is operated in a nutrition supply set to propel the flow of a liquid inside the nutrition supply set. The control system controls the operation of the pumping element. The first detector is mounted on a pump within an alcove formed by a pump to cover the first detector against electromagnetic radiant light, and provides a sign that a pump set conduit is disposed within the pump properly.
