<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver in which the face of a user is imaged to estimate and register a sound pressure that the user desires, and a set volume level is automatically adjusted to obtain the sound pressure in next use by the user. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a second distance and an estimated sound pressure acquired in s14, a control unit 13 adjusts a set volume level so that a sound pressure at a position of the user becomes the estimated sound pressure (s15) and main processing is finished. Said adjustment is performed while measuring a volume level of an amplified audio signal inputted to a speaker 8 and estimating the sound pressure at the position of the user from the measured volume level.
