PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device in which a sudden occurrence of disability can be prevented, by notifying the user of a temperature detection result of a heating member of the lighting device. SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises a light-emitting source 11 to emit an irradiating light; a voltage boost circuit 6 to generate the operating voltage for driving the light-emitting source 11 and to include the heating member; a temperature sensor 1 to detect the temperature of the heating member in the voltage boost circuit 6; a warning display part 15 which, based on the temperature detecting result of the heating member, the heating state of the heating member is displayed; a stopping part (3, 5) to stop the operation of the voltage boost circuit 6, based on the temperature detecting result of the heating member, a display control part (3) to change a display content of the warning display part 15, based on the temperature detecting result of the heating member; and a stopping operation control part (3) to control a stopping operation of the stopping part (3, 5), base on the temperature detection result of the heating member.
