<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle for controlling a vehicle by properly judging a traveling direction of its own vehicle at a branch point of a highway or the like under simple control. <P>SOLUTION: The controller 2 for a vehicle is configured to control a vehicle by detecting a traveling direction of its own vehicle at a branch point of a main track and a leaving path leaving the main track, and provided with: an image pickup means 10 for picking up the image of the periphery of the vehicle; a predetermined road partition line detection means 32 for detecting a unique predetermined road partition line at the branch point from the image picked up by the image pickup means 10; and a control means 30 for performing leaving decision of whether its own vehicle is traveling to the leaving path, based on the position relation between the predetermined road partition line detected by the predetermined road partition line detection means 32 and its own vehicle, and for controlling the vehicle, based on the result of the leaving decision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
