摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of productivity in double-sided printing in an image forming apparatus where a reverse part functions also as a paper ejection port. <P>SOLUTION: In an interleaf control system, resupply of first paper is temporarily stopped at the paper resupply standby position PT of a double-sided unit 22. When the length of the paper conveyed by a paper conveyance part exceeds a normal value, the number of the sheets of conveyed paper is set to a number obtained by subtracting one from the maximum number of the sheets of conveyed paper. Then, if the time when the paper to be resupplied is temporarily stopped at the paper resupply standby position PT is set to reverse normal time, the reverse normal time TM5 becomes longer in proportion to the length of paper L1, so that the time when the paper stands by at the paper resupply standby position T is changed to reverse part reaching time if the reverse normal time exceeds the reverse part reaching time.
