PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generating set wherein the space factor of a stator coil within a stator core can be enhanced and a stator can be cooled. SOLUTION: The stator 18 is constructed of: the stator coil 18b annularly wound in the circumferential direction; and the stator core 18a that is provided around the stator coil 18b and has multiple claw magnetic pole portions 21b for alternately generating different magnetic flux formed in its portion opposite the outer circumference of a rotor 12. The rotor 12 is provided at its axial end faces on the outer circumferential side with fans 14F, 14R for sending air. The stator core 18a is provided with fins 20 having thermal conductivity. The fins are extended from both ends of the stator core in the axial direction so that they collide with air sent by the fans 14F, 14R. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
