<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output system and an image output method for dividing variable print data into pages including common variable data when dividing and distributing the print data to a plurality of image output devices to print the print data. <P>SOLUTION: An image output system, which includes a plurality of image output devices (3a, 3b, 3c) to be connected with one another via a network, a plurality of image output devices that receives variable print data including a plurality of items of variable data to be inserted into each insertion position of a plurality of pages and including component information showing variable data to be inserted into the insertion positions, and divides the plurality of pages to output an image, and a first control device 1 comprising a discriminating means for discriminating the degree of overlapping of the component information on the plurality of pages, and a dividing means for dividing the plurality of pages in order of page with a high degree of overlapping, outputs an image from any one of the plurality of image output devices for each divided plurality of pages. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
