<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of waiting time after processing of jam etc. is completed. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 211 of a paper feeding device is functionally provided with an abnormality detecting part 211a for detecting whether or not a carrying abnormality of recording paper occurs in a feeding position of recording paper from the paper feeding device to a main body device; an opening/closing detecting part 211b for detecting whether or not a cover is in a closed state; a lifting/lowering position setting part 211c for setting a lowering position of an electric tray based on the detection result of the abnormality detecting part 211a when the cover state is changed from the closed state to the opened state; and a lifting/lowering control part 211e for controlling a lifting/lowering motor 222 to lower the electric tray to the lowering position set by the lifting/lowering position setting part 211c when it is detected that the cover state is changed from the closed state to the opened state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
