PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger print input device easily reading a fingerprint without adjusting an angle of a hand or an arm when reading the fingerprint. SOLUTION: This fingerprint input device installed on a prescribed face of a casing of a prescribed object, inputting fingerprint information generated by reading the fingerprint to a prescribed electronic device has: a sweep type fingerprint sensor 2; and a holding member 4 holding the fingerprint sensor 2 on the prescribed face 101 of the casing such that a direction of reading the fingerprint of the fingerprint sensor 2 can be freely changed on the prescribed face 101 of the casing.
