<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method for solving low accuracy of a spatial signal processing technology in a mobile communication system. <P>SOLUTION: This invention provides an estimation method comprising: steps (43, 46) for estimating or measuring a propagation delay profile of a received radio wave; a step (51) for detecting a delay path from the propagation delay profile; and a step (59) for estimating a spatial spread of the radio wave arrival direction on the basis of the estimated arrival direction. Further, this invention provides a simulation method comprising: a step of setting the propagation delay profile of the received radio wave; a step of obtaining a plurality of delay waves from the received radio wave on the basis of a delay path generated from the propagation delay profile; a step of generating a spatiotemporal profile on the basis of a prescribed propagation condition from the propagation delay profile; a step of obtaining the arrival direction of each delay wave; and a step of providing the obtained arrival direction to each delay wave. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
