<p>A video decoding method of performing motion compensation predictive inter-frame decoding on an encoded block in an encoded frame of a video picture, characterized by comprising: decoding encoded data including information of a prediction error signal between a prediction block and the encoded block, information of the reference frame, information of a weighting factor, information of a DC offset value, information of a motion vector between the encoded block and at least one reference frame, and information of combination of a plurality of reference frames; generating the prediction block by calculating a linear sum of a plurality of reference blocks extracted from the reference frames in accordance with the decoded information of motion vector and decoded information of combination of the reference frames and adding the DC offset value to the linear sum; and generating a reconstructed video signal by using the prediction error signal and a signal of the prediction block, wherein the weighting factor is expressed by a rational number using a denominator which becomes a power of 2 set for the each to-be-encoded frame, and the decoding includes receiving information of the denominator and information of a numerator of the rational number as information of the weighting factor and decoding the information.</p> |
